Disinvited Speakers

Oftentimes, invited speakers on college campuses are disinvited due to pressure from faculty and students who disagree with speakers’ beliefs, political views, or past actions. Check out the list (link below) of speakers on FIRE’s (Foundation for Individual Rights In Education) “Disinvitation Database.” In the far right column entitled “details,” you can view additional information regarding why a speaker was challenged. Choose a speaker and read an article telling more about the surrounding circumstances.
