Term Paper Guidelines

 

As part of the course requirements, you should write an argumentative paper. For your term paper, please follow these instructions:

 

1. Aim for 3-5 pages (1200 words ± 200)

 

2. Specify the question and your thesis statement clearly and explicitly.

 

3. Give at least two reasons in favor of your thesis statement.

 

a. Try to suggest reasons that are able to convince your reader that your position is

 

the superior one.

 

b. For the factual components of your argument, refer to the relevant researches.

 

c. Avoid fallacies.

 

4. Consider at least one common or strong objection to your position or your argument.

 

Give reasons against it.

 

a. Clearly identify what you consider to be the best version of the opposing

 

argument.

 

b. Identify likely fallacies.
