Submission Requirements:
• The ACM template should be used to submit the research word document the file can be

• The reference style to be used is the ACM reference format only.
• A minimum of 12 references should be used in this assignment.
• The use of ChatGPT is restricted for this assignment.
• The creation of the presentation is not just to copy and paste the information in the paper.
The presentation should present the information in a digestible way.
• An example presentation from one of my previous papers is provided as a guide on how key
points are identified in the research paper and presented in the PowerPoint.

For this assignment you are required to build upon your abstract submission. It is recommended that
you integrate the comments provided for your abstract submission into this assignment. For this
assignment you are required to submit a Word document using the ACM format as well as you are
required to submit a presentation in PowerPoint format as per the submission requirements.

Research title
Title of the Research Project: The title of the research project is the first item which a reader will see.
The title should be relevant but also catchy to attract the attention of a potential reader. Below is a

Abstract
Abstract: The abstract is used by the reader to determine the relevance of the paper to their work.
Therefore, it should provide a high-level overview of the work being produced. You are also required
to align your abstract to the ACM format used by many conferences and journals worldwide. For

Research introduction
The introduction serves the following purpose in research articles:
• Indicates what the article is going to be about.
• Provides a justification for why the article is important.
• Indicates to the reader what they should know about the article.
• Provides a summary for the rest of the paper.

Literature review
The literature review is used to show an overview of the current works within a research space. It is
important to recall that a literature review should not only summarize works but should also contain
your critical assessment of the existing works.

Title (5 Marks):

Abstract (20 Marks):
◦ Abstract is clear and contains all required elements of an abstract. (15

• Results (Can be your hypothesis what you are trying to find out or prove.)
• Conclusion
◦ Abstract follows the ACM guidelines (length) and is in the required
template. (5 Marks)
Introduction (20 Marks):
◦ The introduction is clear and contains all required elements of an
introduction (20 Marks)
• Provides a relevant short overview of the topic area.
• Provides a motivation for the research.
• Provides an indication of what the focus of the research is or problem being solved.
• Provides an overview of the rest of the paper.
Literature Review (20 Marks):
◦ The literature review contains a minimum of 12 relevant papers to
guide the research (10 Marks)
◦ The literature review is in the correct template ACM format (5 Marks)
◦ The literature review follows the appropriate guidelines for creating a
literature review. (5 Marks)
References and Referencing (20 Marks):
◦ Correctly references the 12 relevant papers using the ACM format in
text (15 Marks)
◦ Correctly formats the references section based on the ACM guidelines.
