GROWING AS LEADERS

Again, considering the results you got from the Leadership Orientation—what implications or action steps can you imagine in light of the test and the results in terms of your own leadership? Recall that we managers, like organizations, want to keep our ‘frames’ in balance as much as possible. The exceptions would be when faced with a major change or crisis when one area or another will deserve the most attention. Also, by our temperament, we may have a ‘go to’ or favorite frame which we employ for many situations when some of those situations may call for the skillful use of our least favorite frame. Our growth as leaders depends on effective use of all the skills and knowledge we possess, not just our favorites or what we have become accustomed to.
