Essay Assignment: Examining an Argument

Your essay must be no fewer than 1000 words in length, using the 5-paragraph essay format and following the rubric. It must be word-processed, double-spaced, and otherwise formatted according to MLA style. You are analyzing Sherry Turkle’s argument by examining the finer points she made and how she went about making those points come across effectively to the reader. Think of 3 finer points you want to highlight because you want to come up with a 3 point thesis.
It must include In-text citations and a Works Cited paged. Points will be deducted if these items are not formatted correctly in MLA format (see Module for MLA in text citations and work cited page).
It is worth 100 points toward your final grade and will be graded according to the departmental grading rubric (see the grading rubric in Course Materials). Essays not meeting the word count, will not receive a passing grade.

You may NOT use any outside sources for this assignment, besides your textbook ; if you do, you will receive a ZERO on the assignment. Also, you may NOT write this essay in First or Second person. Failure to comply to this rule will result in a severely low grade.
