  • Think about some of your favorite famous brands (10 at least) and write them down.
    1. Go to their Instagram pages. On their page, you see the number of posts, followers, and people or entities they follow (I.e., ‘following’). Also, you can find out about each brand’s ‘value’, at (The 2020 World’s Most Valuable BrandsLinks to an external site.).
    1. Make an Excel spreadsheet and record the data. Refer to the ‘Sample Spreadsheet Download Sample Spreadsheet’ for guidance.
    1. Refresh your knowledge on ‘correlations’ by watching this video (Using Excel to calculate a correlation coefficient || interpret relationship between variablesLinks to an external site.).
    1. Is there a correlation between the value of the brand and the number of followers? Is it positive or negative?
    1. Is there a correlation between the value of the brand and the number of posts? Is it positive or negative?
    1. As a consultant for these brands, how would you explain these correlations? What do you advise the brands to do based on these correlations?
    2. Submit a report of all of the above steps through the discussion board.
